Appeals

Forest Service line officers issue many resource management decisions each year, some of which are accompanied by National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents (i.e. Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments, and Categorical Exclusions). These decisions may be subject to an administrative appeal by individuals or organizations. The public's rights and responsibilities to file an appeal are defined in specific appeal regulations.
