The focus of this Technical Memorandum, however, is Upper Empire Gulch Spring and whether or not there is evidence of hydraulic connectivity to the regional aquifer that lies beneath the proposed Rosemont Copper Project (Project). Upper Empire Gulch Spring is located approximately seven (7) miles south and east of the Project’s proposed Open Pit. Potential impacts from the proposed Project on a particular spring will be determined primarily by its hydrologic sources and its location relative to Project activities (i.e., distance from the Open Pit).
